Devsisters Sets 2026 Focus on Expansion and Evolution to Drive Long-Term Growth and Evolve CookieRun into a Global Super IP
Devsisters outlined its 2026 strategy centered on “Expansion” and “Evolution,” focusing on growing the CookieRun IP through a multiverse strategy, new game launches that expand genres and platforms beyond mobile, and broader cultural experiences designed to deepen fan engagement both online and offline.
Devsisters Corp. announced “Expansion” and “Evolution” as this year's focus, aiming to build both short- and long-term growth momentum through the CookieRun IP.
This year, Devsisters plans to drive evolution through three strategic pillars: expanding its fandom through live-game-driven CookieRun Universe; extending genres and platforms via new titles and a “beyond mobile” strategy; and broadening its cultural reach to become a flagship Korean brand while creating new business opportunities.
Devsisters Introduces CookieRun Universe, a Multiverse That Brings Together Over 500 Characters Across the Cookie World
Devsisters will roll out its multiverse IP strategy this year, organically connecting more than 500 characters and the expansive Cookie World. Each CookieRun title delivers its own story and genre-specific experience, while also contributing to a larger interconnected universe. Together, these titles form a central narrative hub that allows the IP to expand while generating strong cross-title synergy.
This approach is expected to drive stronger outcomes for new releases while dramatically reducing the cost of launching new characters, ensuring a more efficient IP business model. Characters will evolve into long-term assets, no longer confined to a single game, but able to adapt flexibly across genres, while fans enjoy a deeper and more immersive world through the ever-expanding CookieRun Universe.
The flagship title CookieRun: Kingdom will conclude the first major story arc this March and begin its second act within a multiverse-based storyline led by Timekeeper Cookie. During the transition, crossover narratives with CookieRun: OvenBreak will be introduced, allowing fans to follow their favorite characters across games and expand their experiences.

CookieRun: Kingdom 5th Anniversary Fan Festival “Gathering of Destiny”
The CookieRun Universe will continue to bring CookieRun fans together through offline events. CookieRun has recently proven its popularity, drawing over 20,000 fans to the CookieRun: Kingdom Fan Festival at KINTEX in Ilsan and over 10,000 global fans to the CookieRun booth at Anime Impulse in Los Angeles. This momentum will continue through fan events for Cookie Run: OvenBreak's 10th anniversary this year and casual esports for CookieRun: OvenSmash, which launches next month.
Devsisters Diversifies Genres and Platforms with New Titles Leading to CookieRun’s 20th Anniversary
Devsisters will also secure new growth momentum through upcoming releases. The real-time battle action game CookieRun: OvenSmash is slated for March, followed by a next-generation lineup that will diversify genres and platforms.
Targeted for release in the second half of this year, Project CC combines casual, easy-to-learn gameplay with CookieRun’s playful humor and charm. This builds on the explosive popularity of casual games such as idle RPGs, known for fun and approachable gameplay anyone can enjoy.
Project N will present the Cookie World in an Unreal Engine-based open world. This 3D action RPG consolidates the entire CookieRun lore built over the years, allowing players to explore the Cookie World packed with diverse experiences. Offered on multiple platforms including PC, console, and mobile, Project N is scheduled for release in 2029 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the CookieRun IP.
In addition, the company will strengthen its annual product lineup through Project AR—which combines CookieRun's digital experiences with the real world and allows fans to encounter various Cookies in everyday life—along with additional CookieRun and new IP projects, and the global release of existing titles.

Cultural expansion is another key pillar of Devsisters’ strategy this year. The company aims to establish CookieRun as a cultural icon by expanding offline experiences such as exhibitions, pop-ups, on-site experiences, trading card games, esports tournaments, and fan festivals.
Recently, Devsisters has strengthened CookieRun’s connection to Korea’s national heritage and traditional culture through a special exhibition at Deoksugung Palace’s Dondeokjeon Hall, a large-scale art collaboration exhibition, and a formal partnership with the Cultural Heritage Administration.
With global attention on K-culture—from K-pop to traditional arts—Devsisters aims to grow CookieRun into a national flagship brand, expanding its cultural influence while creating new value and opportunities beyond games.
This cultural expansion is also translating into tangible business growth. In January alone, character merchandise sales grew nearly tenfold compared to the same period in 2025, and first-quarter sales are projected to surpass the total annual sales of the previous year, highlighting the IP’s strong growth potential.
Looking ahead, Devsisters will connect various offline cultural experiences with digital content through Project AR, establishing a virtuous cycle that channels heightened interest in CookieRun into its game titles.
Kilhyeon Cho, CEO of Devsisters, said, “This year, we will continue to actively invest in strategic initiatives such as new game development and IP expansion to support the company’s long-term growth.” He added, “By centering on expansion and evolution, we aim to build a solid foundation for sustained growth and take another step forward in CookieRun’s path to becoming a global super IP.”
Following the recent launch of a CookieRun magazine at the CookieRun Store, Devsisters will host an online showcase, DevNow, in March, where it will share deeper insights into the present and future of the company and the CookieRun IP.
